All assignments should be submitted in Microsoft Word using a 12 pt. Font size and formatted as double-spaced using Times New Roman. Each assignment has been divided into specific questions with the suggested completion order. However, all the questions in Assignment One will be submitted together by the due date and so forth. Only one Assignment will be submitted at a time. Assignments may be submitted early so you can work around other scheduling issues; however, they will not be graded until after the official due date. Once one Assignment has been graded and returned to you, another may be submitted. All Assignments are to be of graduate-level quality and will be graded accordingly.

Chapter 1:
1. Conduct an article review on HR and ethical responsibilities. Give some examples of ethical issues you have experienced in jobs, and explain how HR did or did not help resolve them. (3-page minimum)
Chapter 2:
1. How can an organization maintain its image while dealing with a talent surplus? If layoffs are necessary, what would you recommend management do to ensure survivors remain committed and productive?
2. Using AI, develop an HR Strategic Plan as the HR Director of a U.S.-based company that is looking at global opportunities in China. The company president has asked you to prepare an outline for an HR Strategic Plan as part of the company’s expansion process. Please outline the method you used to develop your HR strategic plan, including the corresponding outline.

1. Discuss some of the protected characteristics covered by Equal Employment Opportunity and why they are essential in today’s employment setting.

Your Graduate Research Project must be pre-approved by Dr. Sanchez. Your document should include:

2. Based on the information discussed in the chapter, how would you oversee the design (or redesign) of a benefits program in a large organization? What issues would you consider?

Posting - Define employment-at-will and discuss how wrongful discharge, cause, and due process are interrelated. Is your state an employment-at-will state?
Chapter 14:
1. Assume that, as the HR Manager, you have decided to prepare some supervisors' guidelines to use when they have to discipline employees. Gather the necessary information using Internet resources such as www.blr.com and www.workforce.com for sample policies and other relevant details. Then, prepare a guide for supervisors to implement positive and progressive discipline.
Chapter 15:
1. As the HR manager, you have heard rumors about potential efforts to unionize your warehouse employees. Use the Employment Law Information Network (www.elinfonet.com/human-resources/Union-Avoidance) website to develop guidelines for supervisors to follow when employees ask questions about unionization as part of a “union prevention” approach.

Each graduate student will produce and record a PowerPoint presentation (posted to the class). This topic must be pre-approved by the professor in week 5. Each graduate student will produce and record a PowerPoint presentation (posted to the class via YouTube). The student learner is expected to conduct extensive research on a human resources topic from the book and select a relevant context (e.g., organization, management) to provide recent and relevant information on both.
You will need to submit a PowerPoint file as a PDF on Moodle. Please note the Graduate Project due date on Moodle.
You must submit a PowerPoint PDF on Moodle and a link to your recorded YouTube presentation. You must have a call with Dr. Di before Week 5. If that does not occur, you will be penalized 10%. You must review the Library Zoom and pass the library test. If you do not, it will be another 10% penalty. Finally, you must convert your recorded PowerPoint presentation to a video or MPEG file; then you may upload it to YouTube. At that point, YouTube will give you a link to share both on the discussion board for other students to review and in Moodle.
The presentation will consist of a professional 20–25-minute analysis. You should use PowerPoint (or other technology) to create the topic's production, and presentations should be professional and engaging. The student learner is expected to conduct thorough research on Human Resources Management and provide up-to-date, relevant information. During your presentation, you are also expected to follow Bloom's Taxonomy Guidelines, including a robust Literature Review. Please review my webcast on the details of your Graduate Research Project. Your grade will be based on the attached Critical Thinking Rubric.
