Geography 101 Essay

The first half of the course examined weather.  For the midterm exam, write a 750 to 1000 word essay comparing tropical and midlatitude disturbances.  Your essay should demonstrate understanding of how disturbances form, including the basic elements of the heating and cooling of the atmosphere. Use specific examples from the readings, lectures, discussion boards, and your research to demonstrate the dynamics. It is very important that you use terminology from the lecture and the textbook. Use your critical thinking skills to explain and interpret.
