The final exam covers the six (6) “Student Learning Outcomes” listed in your syllabus. Each answer on this test/exam can be found in your course text book.

3. Describe two (2) of the prominent perspectives and approaches used in the study of psychology. Cite the page number/s where you found your answer.

4. Use terminology unique to the study of psychology (select 2 and define). Cite the page number/s where you found your answer.

5. Describe two accepted approaches and standards in psychological assessment and evaluation. Cite the page number/s where you found your answer.

6. Identify factors in physiological and psychological processes involved in human behavior. Cite the page number/s where you found your answer.

Grading Rubric

The grade for question #1 (a – e) will be based on the following scale: 

10 points for each response (a – e) for a total of 50 points: If acceptable responses were provided. (i.e. the responses covered comprehensively and coherently the definitions, advantages and disadvantages of each psychology research method, as well as, the definition of psychology). Student cited the page number in the text book where the answer was found.

0 points: If an unacceptable response is provided for any of the (a-e) responses. If student does not comprehensively and coherently summarize the definitions, advantages and disadvantages for each psychology research method or definition of psychology. “0” points, if the student did not cite the page number in the text book where the answer was found. 

The grade for questions (2 – 6) will be based on the following scale:

10 points for each response (2 – 6) for a total of 50 points: If an acceptable response to each response was provided. (i.e. the responses were comprehensive and coherent). Student cited the page number in the text book where the answer was found.

0 points: If an unacceptable response is provided for any of the (a-e) responses. If student does not comprehensively and coherently summarize the definitions, advantages and disadvantages for each psychology research method or definition of psychology. “0” points if the student did not cite the page number in the text book where the answer was found.
