Forum 5: Read pages 146-172

1) Explain in 1-2 paragraphs how and why the poor stay poor. Include in your response the term "cycle of poverty" and explain it. Offer concrete examples from the readings to back you up. 

2)  Research what is being done in your area to help the poor and homeless. (You can research your town, city, county, or state. Write about non-profits or governmental programs). If not enough is being done this is significant. Tell us!
