It is important that teachers and administrators understand the process involved in completing a Functional Behavioral Assessment and the development of a Behavior Intervention Plan.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Read O’Neill’s Functional Assessment and Program Development for Problem Behavior: A Practical Handbook.

2. Complete a summary outlining the process and/or steps of a Functional Behavioral Assessment and the development of a Behavior Intervention Plan based on information gleaned from O’Neill’s handbook. This is to be a summary of the process and not a summary of the text. You should provide citations as needed. The expectation is that there will be at least four.
