As you learned in Chapter 1, there is no pure ethical theory; each has strengths and weaknesses. However, health care professionals must make complicated ethical decisions. The ability to understand theory enhances your decision making tool kit. 

This is a medical case which considers the relevance of Kantian, Utilitarian, and Virtue ethics to the situation of a family with severely impaired newborns.

In this forum you will share your MORAL decision with your peers. What is the right thing to do? Should the doctors help these babies live? Or should they let the babies die in peace?

Apply only ONE ethical theory to determine the moral thing to do. Use the theory to back you up in making this decision. DO NOT APPLY more than one.
