Welcome to module eight!! For this module,  you will be reading one to two chapters in the Herrera et al. text, (chapter eight is required and chapter seven is optional) that provide you with detailed information regarding Response to Intervention (RTI) and how schools are currently using this system to accurately identify students who may have specific learning needs or disabilities.  Additionally, you will be reading about special education and concerns regarding the over-representation and under-representation of English language learners in special education programs.
