Forensic Challenges for Law Enforcement

Recently, several stories have hit the media regarding terrorist or suspect phones that were not able to be analyzed due to security measures on the devices. Summarize some of these cases and discuss law enforcement concerns weighed against user privacy concerns. This subject should have more of a “criminal justice” focus and is ideal for students who have a criminal justice background or wishes to combine the technical focus of the course with legal concerns.
