Strength of the paper: Excellent topic. You shed important light on the lives of rural women and men. These stories are often overlooked even by researchers.  Tip for future papers: When you include a source, tell us something about the data. For example, Bryant & Pini tell us that heavy duty chores are seen as men's work. Where did they do this research, and with whom? This will help us to put their findings in a larger context.  Many of the gender differences you describe - such as gender segregated work and family roles - are similar to what urban women experience. To make the paper stronger, tell us what is unique about this experience for rural women.
