Part of your 100-word (minimum) Discussion Board response to the article must specifically address the following passage:
One student, Brandon, was denied admission because when asked in an admissions interview what was the most important thing in his life, he replied simply, “My God.” In rejecting his application, Radiation Therapy Program Director Dr. Dougherty informed Brandon, “I understand that religion is a major part of your life . . . however, this field is not the place for religion. . .. If you interview in the future, you may want to leave your thoughts and beliefs out of the interview process.”
Post your response on the Blackboard Discussion Board under “ Week 2 - Christian Students.”
This is not an essay assignment, just your comments. Do not format your comments like an essay; just type your comments in the “Message” box. When you finish responding, click “Submit.” NOTE: Other students in the class will be able to read your response. the article link is below

Discussion 2
Social Contracts
In the studies this week, we considered the concept of social contracts, which outline how members of the class promote improvement for themselves and for the group at large. Think about a class where there were few rules, but all the students seemed to understand the expectations, practically to the point of managing themselves! Now, think about a class that has many rules and consequences listed, but the teacher is still very much a focal point of active classroom and behavior management. What did the teachers in those classrooms do differently from each other?
Now, review pages 152 and 153 of the Transformative Classroom Management, where the author identifies four techniques to promote the social contract within your classroom: first, positive recognitions; second, clarifying statements; third, mantras; and fourth, clarifying examples. Provide examples of how you have used these in the classroom, how you have failed to use these in the classroom, or how you plan to use these in your classroom. Be very specific about what you would say, as so much of the new classroom management paradigm is related to careful communication.
Discussion 3
Reflecting on New Learning
For this week's journal entry, you will do some Internet or library research and rely on your own experience to write about how technology can be used as part of classroom management to keep communication open between home and school. You might consider texting, e-mail, school-hosted teacher Web pages, blogs, app, and so forth. Be sure to relate the selected technology to classroom management.
