2nd person—Justin:
The culture that I find very intriguing to read about is the Babylonian culture. The Babylonian empire was one of the great empires that dominated the region Mesopotamia. According to legend, Babylon was regarded as one of the most beautiful of ancient cities. The city became famous for its lush palaces and courtyards. "The Babylonians are known for having one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, the hanging gardens of Babylon, as well as for their famous ruler King Hammurabi, who is known for the set of laws known as Hammurabi's code." Some of the laws included "an eye for an eye" and a "tooth for a tooth." Another interesting facts about the laws is that Hammurabi got the laws carved into a seven foot tall steel plate which could be viewed by the people. The Babylonians also built beautiful buildings out of clay bricks, and even made clay tablets that held official decrees written in cuneiform. The Babylonians in my opinion, were way ahead of their time and created a ton of beautiful different architectural works.
