 I think that community policing will create a safer community if a community was willing to work together on creating policy’s and promotion for it. One thing I would recommend adding is what kind of policies you would want to use and possibly an example of where it has been successful. It would also help if you went into more detail on how the law enforcements involvement in the policy will be. I am currently thinking of the idea being like a neighborhood watch, which is a great idea and developed in communities all around. I do know though that it takes a lot of willing homeowners to take charge and set it up and fund it within the community. I will say when you do have a strong community presents that is involved with each other and the local police you tend to make your neighborhood a smaller target for crime. Over all I think it’s a great idea just more examples and possible statistics would really engage a reader to be convinced of your blogs topic.

 I love that you have such a positive topic to write about. I believe it is vital that society in the United States has a positive "relationship" with Law Enforcement, especially right now with all of the things going around on the news and internet that are negative. Most of the time when I see this stuff I just ignore it because you can tell it is not actually a real issue, it is something that has been exaggerated by someone in a community that just wants attention. How sad is that? To answer your question, I support the idea that community policing creates safer communities. I say that because the communities will all work together and care about their community as a whole now.

This is a good topic for the scope of this assignment, particularly because it's so relevant to the culture of policing due to the issues law enforcement has been facing with eroding trust in some communities (as you rightly acknowledge here).  This is also a specific topic where you show you have a clear informational purpose and audience in mind.
