Must have an abstract page 175 to 250 words

What the term paper should include: The term paper in this class is a literature review. The body of information that has been cumulated by researchers is commonly called literature. A literature review is a review of current research on a particular topic. A literature review is different from an annotated bibliography which is a compilation of citations with a brief summary of the article or the book. In a literature review, you were to synthesize research studies you’ve read and to provide an overall review of what the articles and books are saying about the topic.

3.    Where do I get information?

The term paper should include research findings. You will need to read several academic papers, select the studies relevant to your topic, analyze each paper’s main points, and synthesize (NOT summarize) them in your paper.

4.    How many previous studies do I include in my paper?

A minimum of 15 studies should be included in the bibliography and in the final paper. The studies used in the paper should be listed under “references” section (at the end of the paper) following the APA (American Psychological Association) style. Examples of the APA style are copied below.

5.    How long should the paper be?

The length of the paper varies depending on the topic. I look for thorough analysis and coherent writing rather than how long the paper is. However, 7-9 pages might be a good length to aim for.
