Write a 350-word magazine critique that reflects on how you were able to use a personal experience or observation in an essay that transformed the personal into a life lesson to which others can relate. For example, you can explain why you felt this was an important subject, or how you would describe your contribution to creative nonfiction.

Note: You do not need to use a particular style, such as MLA or APA, for this particular type of assignment but include a title page.

   Write a 1,050- to 1,400-word memoir about the experience or event, drawing on the techniques you have learned throughout this course.

   • Write the memoir in first person
   • Incorporate both the details of the experience or event and your personal reactions.
   • Grammar and punctuation variations are acceptable if they serve the needs of the piece.
