The “Connecting Academic Themes” short paper integrates academic training and your field study experience. Your field study placement provides an opportunity to reflect on how aspects of your academic training (i.e., theoretical, analytical, or substantive issues) relate to observations and experiences in these unique environments. This paper should identify an issue that you consider interesting, discuss how this issue relates to your field placement, summarize the findings of four (4) peer-reviewed journal articles related to this issue, and conclude with a discussion of how the research findings that you just discussed deepen your understanding of your field study experience. (Expected length = 1,250 words or approximately 5 pages)
