Fish and Chips: A Case Analysis
Read the Chapter 1 case, IHRM in Action 1.3 Developing a Global Appetite for Fish and Chips (p. 29). Where did the fish-and-chip shop Harry Ramsden's go wrong in their international expansion? For example, what challenges did they not overcome? What opportunities did they overlook? Consider Exhibit 1.3: IHRM Questions for International Strategy, in your answer (p. 28). Make sure you utilize the International Strategies listed in Exhibit 1.3. The strategies should be reviewed, analyzed, and applied to the Harry Ramsden case. Consider what international strategy used in the case and what strategy may work better for the company. Support your answer with at least one credible, recent source in addition to the course textbook.
