First Day

Complete a plan to introduce a specific classroom management strategy to their students beginning on the first day of class. Incorporate information from the PowerPoint below which introduces material from Harry Wong into your plan. Create a "First Day of School Plan" that includes the following components:

What do I expect from my students to reflect that I am implementing effective classroom management strategies?

What will my classroom look like on the first day of class? 

What best practices will I put in place to begin my management plan immediately?

How will I introduce myself to my students and their families? (Include a copy of a letter, postcard, presentation, etc.)

How will I introduce my classroom procedures and expectations to my students?

How will these be explained, rehearsed and reinforced? (Include a copy of a song, strategy, poster template, etc.)
