International Investment Paper: Appendix D of the textbook and also in Blackboard under course resources. Topics and companies have to be approved by the instructor in advance. These instructions are a general guide and we will be tweaking this assignment in more detail to include more topics that are covered in the course. You should pick 2 USA based multinational corporations (MNC’s) and 2 International based publically traded multinational corporations for your analysis. Other areas that should be included in the papers are topics we cover in the course such as exchange rates, international risk, corporate governance, capital budgeting and trade among others. If you have a topic in mind, please suggest it to me as soon as possible for authorization to proceed. Textbook chapters and the syllabus are a good reference place for you to include additional content and material.
This instructor approved assignment and the paper’s length should be based on the following rule of thumb. As a guide the length of the paper should be at least 15-20 pages, 12-point font, double-spaced, which include footnotes, appendices and references. You can be creative with your paper topics. A brief write-up should be submitted to the instructor by email prior to approval of topic. Try to keep the research of the paper as current as you can, including current events that are happening and related to your topics. You can be creative with your paper.
Please have a brief write-up of the paper topic approved BEFORE you begin, or the paper will not count, which is no later than the end of module 4.
