Final Paper

After your topic and films have been approved, write a 4-6 page paper exploring how those films depict and influence American culture concerning your topic by addressing the following:

1. Analyze how both films depict American culture.
2. Discuss how the films depict your topic, comparing and contrasting them with one another.
3. How do the elements of film in both films help to tell a specific story that supports the topic of your paper?  
4. What do the films say about the world of its time and the world today?
5. How do the films affect you personally? How and why?

Remember: focus only on (2-3) elements of film to support your paper's thesis. These should be (2-3) elements that are strongly represented in both films. 

You should feel free to use both primary and secondary sources concerning these films ONLY if they help support your thesis.  However, I am interested more in your critical thinking and a demonstration of your ability to analyze films by understanding how the elements of film shape each film in a unique way.

The paper is to be 4-6 pages in length using 1-inch margins all around with a 11 or 12 point font, double-spaced.  Title page, graphics, pictures, footnotes, bibliography do not count toward the length of the paper.

Use proper citations and bibliography or works cited page. 

MAKE SURE YOU EDIT YOUR PAPERS FOR: Spelling and grammar!!! That includes making sure all titles of films are either UNDERLINED or ITALICIZED.
