This film on the rise of the Hapsburgs is important for how Belgium  and guilds contribute to trade,  and why Tryol and the Fuggers are important, but also has a number of false premises. 

The Hapsburgs did NOT rule peacefully over a mutli-ethnic Empire. They put Germans and Hungarians on top, Serbs, Croats, Slavs and Poles were considered lesser humans. They also used their military and religious power to suppress dissent relentlessly.
