TITLE: Family Resources Handout
 

 Introduction: This assignment will give you the opportunity to find  local resources for families that are preparing for childbirth or those  that are just given birth. Many times families are not prepared for the  arrival of a baby, especially if they are first time parents.

This assignment fulfills:

The Assignment 

Develop  a handout for families who are anticipating the birth of a child and  families of babies’ ages newborn to 6 months of age. The information  should list a minimum of 10 resources available in your local community.  The resources must focus on information about premature birth, breast  feeding, special needs, childbirth options, support groups.

 Include:

• the name of the resource/agency
• contact information (at least 2 methods) – address, phone number, website
• description of the support/resources  available to families in 2 – 3 sentences at a minimum.
•  a minimum of 10 agencies must be listed

Grading Criteria:  

20 points – including 10 agencies/support/resources in list

20 points – 2 methods of contacts are given

20 points – Description of support/provided

20 points – description is a minimum of 2 - 3 sentences in length

10 points – agency/resource/support matches required categories

10 points – correct grammar and spelling

 Resources: Chapter 3 in your text, websites for agencies in your local communities.

To Submit:

Create Handout in Word and attach the file to Blackboard assignment, by due date.

There will be an attachment with a few agencies I already found. The local agencies shall be based out of Fayetteville NC
