A school counselor's effectiveness in providing direct services to students is contingent upon their understanding and application of counseling theories in their conversations, counseling sessions, interventions, etc.

Title–Name of Theory

Remember-List the basic tenants of the theory and key information.

Understand-Identify the key components that would determine if this theory was applied with efficacy.

Apply-Discuss how a school counselor would use this theory.

Analyze-Describe the strengths and limitations of this theory.

Evaluate-Determine whether this theory is appropriate for use in school counseling and justify your stand.

Create- Create a scenario where this theory would be a good approach. Describe the client or situation and explain how the counselor applies the theory.
