1. Describe the impact of the New Deal on American society throughout the 1930s. Be sure to identify the major components of the New Deal. Explain whether you believe The New Deal was ultimately effective; be sure to provide a rationale for whatever answer you choose. Make sure you mention key programs, people and events to support your various points. 

 2. Describe how German aggression in 1939 and 1940 escalated tensions in Europe and ignited WWII. How did other European nations (Great Britain, France and the Soviet Union respond to the Germans? How did the United States? Do you believe any of these nations could have responded differently and possibly avoided war? Be sure to include specific examples to support your narrative.
