Using Excel with Census American FactFinder Data...

For this extra credit, watch all the above videos in the tutorial series. Choose an area you’d like to do a little research on. Try looking at County or State data. Anywhere you want!
- Create a basic table of your area as in the first video “Census Data Access and Table Formatting in Excel”
- Using the same or different area as in the #1. Using the 2nd video “Advanced Census Data Access and Hierarchical Charts,” choose your own variables you are interested in. Now create a hierarchical chart like a treemap or sunburst chart in Excel.
- In the 3rd video, “Advanced Census Data Analysis in Excel,” It’s actually a bit of review . Run any statistical test
- Watch the last video “Census Data Quick Analysis in Excel” and create some Sparklines and use the Quick Analysis Tool.
Turn in an Excel spreadsheet with all of these activities finished. I recommend saving each one on a different sheet in Excel.
