Situation A
A researcher proposes studying the effectiveness of educational programs offered to prisoners. In his interviews with prisoners, he learns that several of the prisoners smuggle drugs into the prison. He also learns that some of the female prisoners engage in sexual activities with the prison staff in return for desirable assignments in the prison.

A researcher conducts genetic tests on subjects. One genetic test shows that Mary Doe carries the gene for Huntington's disease.
