1. In the business world, whom do/don’t you trust and why? Do you agree with Kramer (in the article Rethinking Trust) that we are prone to trust? What do you think about his 7 rules for tempering trust? Will it help you to trust others wisely? Why/why not?
   
2. Have you had any relationships in which you have had discretionary authority? Were you aware of any rules or standards that controlled how you exercised that discretion?
   
3. Have you had experience with a professional who abused his/her discretion? What was the experience like? What did you think at the time? Can you think of ways to constrain such abuse in the future?
