Homework (Kant)

In Sections 1 and 2 of the Grounding, Kant analyzes three propositions that are implicit in our common understanding of morality and then argues that those propositions can only be justified if the primary principle of morality has the form of a categorical imperative.  

In this homework, explain how the main steps in this argument work.  Construct a dialogue map of these questions answers and supporting reasons. 

 Second, in one to one and a half concise, typed, ds, pages, explain how the parts of this argument fit together. 

*Don’t just list the premisses.  Explain how the major points fit together.  At the end of the essay, raise an objection to one of the premisses.  Locate the objection on the dialogue map. Be sure to identify each point as a question, answer or reason pro or con in the map. Explain each point in a clear sentence. Spell out the links between the points in a manner that clarifies how the inquiry is structured as an argument. The limit on the number of nodes in your map is 10-20, and the entire map needs to be fitted onto one page. If it doesn’t fit, then edit it.
