Establishing a Classroom Climate

Step 1: View the  FOT Classroom Management 1 PowerPoint 

Note that  the three types of classroom climates include 1) Competitive, 2) Cooperative, and 3) Individualistic.  Each of these variations have their own distinct characteristics with both the teacher and the student in different roles. 

Step 2: In a word processing document, summarize the characteristics of each type of classroom climate. 

Step 3: In the same document, generate at least 3 instructional activities for each type of classroom climate.  You are encouraged to be as creative as possible, while keeping in mind that your job is to ensure that the degree of authority you impose should match your instructional goal.
