Essay: How does American literature provide a stage for the critical discussion of important issues?

Requirements and Guidelines:        

Your essay should be at least five paragraphs and include reference to at least three writers we have read and discussed in the course. Your goal should be to quote a text at least once for each supporting paragraph, demonstrating how your analysis of that text relates to your thesis.
