Essay 2

What is the topic?  Choose Film (dead poets society)  and/or  poem (Richard Cory 1897). 

 Explain one-two of the major themes (images, figures of speech, symbol, allegory, irony, and sounds), and make a connection to your own life.  

For instance, Dead Poets Society dealt with irony via parental peer pressure and/or finding one’s voice.  We have all been there.  How have you coped in similar situations?Therefore, I’d like your essay to be a nice, blended piece of research and creativity.  Whenever you can make a connection to great fiction, its purpose is being fulfilled.
