Please respond to the question, Which of Ferguson's "killer apps" was the most important to the success of Western civilization?, using the material from the readings and the class lectures. Citations should be made in footnotes, Chicago style. Please keep in mind that I am interested in how YOU would respond to the prompt, NOT how Ferguson would respond to the prompt. In other words, don't just restate Ferguson's argument.

Essay structure:

A thesis statement in the first paragraph. It should summarize all the main topic sentences for all paragraphs. Each paragraph should have a topic sentence, evidence for the topic sentence and and explanation for it. Citation for each citation, therefore citation for each evidence in each paragraph. A conclusion that will summarize all the topic sentences and thesis statement.
