What are the major factors that induce companies to engage in unethical strategies and unethical business behavior?  From a strategic standpoint, why should companies require (or ignore) ethical behavior?  How should companies view expenditures that enhance “corporate citizenship”?  What is the downside of a short-term perspective on these issues?  Please cite specific examples from lecture and/or additional research to support your positions.
