 Needs to be done by Sept 24, 2017 @7:00 pm central time.

Poverty as it relates to a) sex (included abuse), b) relationships, c) violence, or d) self-esteem. Poverty is the main focus and a-d are the subtopics (you'll use only 1 subtopic). You will discuss, for example, the effects of poverty on self-esteem. 

Include background info of your topic, define your topic in your own words, 1 quote from an outside source and 1 from the novel, a thesis statement. (reiterated below)

Introduce the topic with some indication of its inherent interest or importance/background information, and a clear definition of the boundaries of the subject area/your topic and what you will be discussing

Use quotes and analysis behind quotes

State the thesis of the essay, preferably in a single, arguable statement with a clear main point 

Intro should be between 3/4-1 pages.
