ENGL 245: Graphic Novel

Final Paper (25%)

Proposal (5%)

Paper proposals are due through the dropbox on C4 by 10pm on November 12th.

You will submit a proposal of approximately 350 words that outlines your working thesis and key supporting points. The proposal should offer the full bibliography/works cited entry, along with an analysis of credibility and explanation of use, for two of the secondary sources that you intend to use in your paper. 

Paper (20%)

This paper is an individual assignment. Your final paper (including references list) is due on December 3rd. Papers must be submitted as a typed, hard copy.

The paper should be approximately 2000 words in length and must follow MLA formatting and citation guidelines throughout. The paper must contain the following elements:

• An introduction including a thesis statement that takes a clear position on the chosen topic. 
• At least 4 secondary sources. These sources should be scholarly in nature (if you are not sure what this means or have difficulty finding sources, see me for assistance).
• Close reading of text and image.
• A works cited list.
