English Review

 This assignment should be 500 words only. Review the film, The Patriot with Mel Gibson. Write a 3 paragraph response that does the following: One paragraph summary of the main elements of the film; be sure to begin with a clear signal phrase to introduce the film and director. One paragraph discussion of the work of literature or time period the film represents, and how well the film did that. One paragraph discussion of how the helped you (or not!) gain deeper insight into some elements of our class. Examples are literature from the European explorers of the "New World," texts produced by Puritan and New England writers, texts produced by writers of the British Colonial period leading up to the American Revolution and  works related to the American Revolution and the creation of the American nation.
