Background

We're focusing on job application materials this week. Your major writing assignment will be a cover letter and resume. The textbook chapter does cover interviewing tips briefly, but I'd like to expand on these more in our discussion, in order to take advantage of the experience in the class. 

Discussion Question Response

In several paragraphs, provide some advice to a new job seeker regarding doing well in an interview. Your response can include what to do, what not to do, or both. 

First, discuss the preparation a job seeker should do prior to the interview. Job interviews typically include time for the interviewee to ask questions, so include a list of possible questions as part of your answer.

Next, discuss how a job seeker can do well during the interview itself.

I'd like to see you use both secondary research and your own experience for this response. Be sure to document the sources for the secondary research.
