2. Choose one metaphor that either Solomon or the Shulamite uses to describe the

Explain the significance of this metaphor (if it appears more than once, every time)

both from the specifics of what comparison he or she is making, and from what this

metaphor might have meant historically. For the historical information, you will need

to research what the comparison would have meant at the time.
