Module 10 Objectives and Assignments

Welcome to Module 10! In this module, you will apply everything that you have learned thus far in your last essay assignment. If needed, go back and review everything that you have learned as it will be beneficial for this assignment. You will have two weeks to complete this assignment, but please do not wait until the last minute as the requirements are longer than the essays you have written before. Please read over the assignments and as always, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Objectives: 

In this module you will-

➢ Select a topic. ➢ Research and evaluate several arguments.  ➢ Create an essay. 

Assignments: 

1. Pick an issue affecting your future career field, your major field, or your community. Write a 5 page essay that explains various perspectives on this issue, addressing at least five different sources (published texts, interviews, etc.-You can use more sources if needed) Please make sure that the sources are credible. Rather than presenting the issue as having two sides (those for and against something), explain more than two points of view, showing the complexity of the issue. At some point in the paper, take your own stand, but the majority of your paper should explain the larger conversation surrounding the issue. Don’t forget a work cited page. Complete the assignment by Sunday November 10th (11:59pm).
