A skill is characterized by a set of habits at two levels: attitude and behavior. Attitudes are non-verbal convictions or core beliefs that affect our behavior. Behavior is what we do. That is our actions and reactions to people, issues and circumstances. There are two areas we need to consider in developing skills. These are personal and professional. Ideally, professional skills should be extensions of personal skills. But in reality, this may not be, so some special professional skills will have to be developed to be able to perform acceptably.

Use a three-pointer essay format within two-and-a-half pages to three-pages to describe the concept, functions, and characteristics of Professional Skill Development needed for your career path. See Skill Development document, attached.
