Poetry is a very compact form of communication that packs a lot of information into a text. Because text is everywhere, so too is poetry—from the poems that we read in books or that we [illegally] download from various sources to the advertising that assaults us on a daily basis.

Task: Choose a text and specifically explain how it may be treated as a poem. Provide an analysis and explain “what the poem means.”

Length: 1000 – 1250 words (3 – 4 pages)
