1. How effective is the use of the genre, magical realism, in Exit West? Does it work with the theme, the character’s lives, and the fear which often envelops the characters?
2. Exit West often uses doors and windows through which characters seem to step in and out of (often magically). What does this stand for? How do you read these doors and windows?
