Eight  guidelines and a number of other pieces of advice about developing an effective writing style. Which of these guidelines did you find helpful? Did any sound familiar to you from other classes? Did any of them seem like they were not helpful? Can you recommend any other suggestions for student writers that are not presented in this chapter but that you may have heard from another teacher or that you have worked out on your own?
