   students. Which issues stood out to you and why?

2.  After reading Ryan and Cooper Chapter 11 and exploring the article related to the history of school

    governance in California (in your learning activities folder). Describe two insights you gained about the

    how the educational system is structured in California.

3.  The legal authority of teacher is based on the principle of “in loco parentis” meaning “in place of

    Parents”. With this authority comes responsibility and educators must adhere to the highest ethical

    standards. Review the NEA Code of Ethics and the CTC Rules of Conduct for Educators. What

    insights did you gain from reviewing both documents.
