• Assignment #3 (40 points)
  • Read the article “Learning to Listen.” Reflect upon what you learned in the article.  How will you apply what you read to your leadership role? Do you agree or disagree with the article’s statement that listening is at the heart of school transformation? Are there hidden stories at your school?  How will you find out? Are kids grouped according to ability in your schools?  If so, how do you feel about this? Does ability grouping help or hurt in terms of closing achievement gaps?  When answering all the posed questions, explain your answers and support your answers with the use of outside resources. Include support for how this relates to NELP Standards 2 and 3 where applicable. 
  • Requirements: Answer ALL the posed questions; write a minimum of 500 words; and use three or more outside sources in addition to the assigned article.
