  • Locate and read TWO articles on one of the following issues:
    • school facility or grounds safety (such as: school playground safety equipment, safeguarding athletic facilities, etc.)
    • physical security technology (communication devices, cameras, alarms, door entry security, etc.) or technology infrastructure needs in schools,
  • Briefly summarize the contents of each article, detailing information useful for an administrator to consider when making safety decisions relative to the school and its inhabitants.
  • Determine from your reading what product or procedure is needed by your current school to address the issue you researched. Generate a budget sheet that specifies the funding needed for the expenditure you propose.  The budget sheet should provide a brief rationale, description of the product or procedure, and cost summation for one year.  NOTE:  This should be placed in an appendix section after your reference page and can be a bulleted list followed by a budget.
