 5: Professional Development Training– Delivery: Submit by Saturday 11:59 p.m. (100 points)

• Use the workshop you reviewed during Unit 4. Do the following:
  • Create and deliver a training (modified from the one on the CD) to a small group of teachers on the material in the workshop plan you reviewed that fits a professional development need of the group. Communicate to teachers how they will be held accountable for the information learned. Be sure to gain support of the principal before doing this. 
  • Gather and summarize teacher feedback about the workshop content and effectiveness, including their thoughts about being held accountable.
  • Discuss your impressions of the impact of the workshop with the principal, including teacher opinions about the effectiveness of the training. Summarize what was discussed in this meeting.
  • Write your own reflection about the effectiveness of the materials used, the feedback from the teachers, the impact of the accountability issue on the teacher participants, and the principal’s take on the process.
