This week you will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge on one of the topics that we have covered in our course. 

Instructions:

1. Choose a topic from one of the listed topics we have covered throughout the course:

· The impact of violence and poverty on children

· Caretakers battling mental health and addiction

· Family Preservation and Child Placement

· Children in Foster Care and the Court System (residential Placement and Adoption)

· Homelessness and Pregnant Teens

· Addressing the Needs of Military Families

· Child Advocacy and Careers

· Create a 10-12 informative PowerPoint presentation on your topic. Consider including the following information as part of your presentation as applicable:

· Introduction

· Background information to include any statistics, context, or other pertinent information to help understand the topic

· Current issues and challenges

· Interventions and Solutions

· Future Directions

· Resources to help with the topic (limit to 1 slide)

· Conclusion

2. Add a title slide and a reference slide.

· Use visuals and colors to enhance your presentation. Your visuals should not dominate the presentation.

· Support the information in your presentation with in-text citations and full references at the end using a minimum of 3 appropriate sources. 

Formatting: 

· Use APA Style (most current edition) for citations and references. 

· Include a title slide and a reference slide (not included in the slide count)
