Our textbook discusses two types of learning:Facts, rules, and action sequences.Concepts, patterns, and relationships.Most learning utilizes some of each type to set the foundational knowledge and then promote critical thinking in its application. Using your Lesson Plan Activity, discuss where and how each type of learning is employed in a unit, what higher order thinking skills are involved (See Appendix C in our textbook), and how they relate to your instructional goals for your class.
