Textual and visual project: In addition to alphabetic text you must also include three other visual forms of communication. You should select your mode of composition based on the audience you are trying to reach. You may choose to use: memes, photo images, comic/graphic novel panels, videos, audio, graphs, charts, tables or descriptive font. You do not need prior design experience to compose with images but simply an understanding of the fundamentals of rhetoric, persuasion, and communication to an audience; this also does not need to be a digital project.
Sources: Integrate quotations/ideas/examples from at least FOUR outside sources.
- You may want to first start with our textbook, From Inquiry for one of your scholarly sources if you find something that is relevant to the decade you selected.
- At least three of your sources should be scholarly (peer reviewed).
- Unless it is used in your multimodal composing, only one of your sources may be purely internet-based but still from a professional source. Note: using the library’s databases to find sources that were originally distributed through print is not the same as using a “internet” source. You may use as many articles that were originally printed as you would like.
MLA formatting and Works Cited Page: Citations are CRITICAL for this project. Not documenting your sources properly will lead to a SIGNIFICANT loss of points.
