ECE 311 week 5 Discussion 1

Your initial discussion thread is due on Day 3 (Thursday) and you have until Day 7 (Monday) to respond to your classmates. Your grade will reflect both the quality of your initial post and the depth of your responses. Reference the Discussion Forum Grading Rubric for guidance on how your discussion will be evaluated.

 

The   Importance of Play

 Watch the video, The Importance of Play.  Discuss specific examples of how play benefits a child’s development.  Then, using at least one online resource, describe how much play today’s children are getting or not getting.  Be sure to include a link to your resource.  Lastly, offer one to two specific ideas for incorporating more play into a young child’s day.  Your initial discussion post should be at least 200 words in length.
 

Guided Response: After reviewing the posts of several classmates, respond to two peers by challenging their ideas for incorporating more play into a young child’s day. Discuss any issues or concerns you see that might make  their ideas difficult to implement. Offer suggestions for how your peers can modify their ideas so that they could be more readily implemented.
